UK foreign secretary on Brexit extension request
(5 Apr 2019) British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said Friday the UK has "zero appetite" for European Parliament elections. He was speaking on the sidelines of a G7 Foreign Ministers meeting in Dinard, in France. UK Prime Minister Theresa May has requested a delay in Brexit until June 30 to allow more time for an orderly departure from the European Union. But that would mean taking part in European Parliament elections next month.
