Greener Pastures | Apostle Grace Lubega Phaneroo Devotional | Lyrical Cover

Apostle Grace Lubega Psalm 23:1-2 (KJV); The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. — In 2022, it was estimated that 2,062 migrants died while crossing the Mediterranean Sea. These harrowing numbers do not include deaths at migrant detention centres or as a result of labour exploitation. Some bodies were never found, lost to the depths of the unforgiving sea. In the Arab World, there prevails what is called the Kafala system, a legal framework that defines the relationship between migrant workers and their employers and perpetuates modern day slavery. In these masses of migrants, there are Christians. If you asked them why they made the choice to uproot themselves from their nations to foreign lands, the answer will be the search for ‘greener pastures.’ Child of God, I am not against people moving from one nation to another. But has the Good Shepherd led you there? It is He who makes you lie down in green pastures. One woman asked, ‘What if the grass is greener on the other side because it’s always raining there?’ Think about it. Remember this, pastures are not green because of the nation you migrate to. They are green because they are where the Lord our Shepherd led you. Hallelujah! FURTHER STUDY: John 10:11; Isaiah 40:11 GOLDEN NUGGET: Pastures are not green because of the nation you migrate to. They are green because they are where the Lord our Shepherd led you. PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for the land in which I was born and the nations to which You call me. I only move at Your instruction because You are my leader and my guide. I live life in the blessed assurance that I am where You want me to be, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
