How to make Irish Soda Bread from scratch

Watch me and my LITTLE HELPER Lor make Irish Soda Bread from scratch. This was our first time making it and we are SUPER excited how it came out! Recipe: 4C flour + extra for dusting 1/4C granulated sugar 1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp baking soda 6 tbsp cold unsalted butter + 1/2tbsp to grease pan 1 3/4C cold low fat buttermilk 1 egg, cold 1C raisins 1.preheat oven 375 degrees 2. Whisk flour,sugar,salt, baking soda in large bowl 3.cut butter into small pieces and use fingers to work into flour until crumb consistency 4.stir in raisins, breaking up clumps of raisins 5.make well in center of flour mixture 6.in large measuring cup, whisk buttermilk & egg & add to flour mixture 7.use wooden spoon & mix until lightly moistened and dough barely starts coming together 8.transfer to flouted surface & use floured hands to shape dough into round loaf (should be saggy not falling apart) 9.transfer to greased skillet and use knife to score a large “X” on top 10.bake on center rack for 50-55 minutes *when done, it will sound hollow when you tap on bread* 11.transfer to wire rack to cool completely 12.sprinkle flour over top 14.serve and enjoy!
