Did Jesus turn water into wine?
Jesus’ First Miracle at the Wedding in Cana In the town of Cana in Galilee, Jesus, His mother Mary, and His disciples were invited to a wedding celebration. During the event, the hosts ran out of wine, which was a major issue in Jewish culture, as wine was an important part of wedding feasts. Mary noticed the problem and told Jesus, “They have no more wine.” Jesus replied, “Woman, why do you involve me? My hour has not yet come.” Despite His response, Mary instructed the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” Nearby stood six large stone water jars, each capable of holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” They obeyed, filling them to the brim. Then He instructed them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” When the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine, he was amazed. He called the bridegroom and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink. But you have saved the best till now.” This was the first miracle Jesus performed, revealing His glory and strengthening the faith of His disciples. #JesusFirstMiracle #WaterIntoWine #WeddingAtCana #BiblicalMiracle #GospelOfJohn #FaithInJesus #ChristianMiracles #JesusSaves #BibleStories #GodsPower
