Claire Saffitz's Salted Halva Blondies | Dessert Person | Recipe Test Review
Today I'm testing out Claire Saffitz's recipe for Salted Halva Blondies from her Dessert Person cookbook. I'm generally not a big fan of blondies because they're too sugary sweet and lack depth of flavor or any nuance / complexity. However, this recipe from Claire Saffitz has made me a believe in the possibility of a good blondie. This salted halva blondie is much more savory and subtly sweet. The texture is incredibly gooey and the taste ultra-rich. I used Seed + Mill brand halva (which Claire showed in her fridge tour).
