Union Pacific stack train passes manifest in downtown Ames, Iowa

Sunday, January 6, 2013, 2:13 PM. An eastbound Union Pacific container train passes an eastbound mixed freight that's stopped just west of the Brookridge/Hazel crossing in Ames, Iowa. We were on our way home from dinner and saw the mixed freight and decided it was worth going back to try and catch on video since it had an Illinois Central locomotive as its fourth of four engines. And some good graffiti, which catches my eye a lot more often than it used to. This stacker is led by UP 8641, UP 7344, and UP 4950.
