Union Pacific manifest in downtown Ames, Iowa (2.5 min. train)

Friday, March 8, 2013, 12 noon. I stumbled onto this nice mixed freight while making my Friday rounds, and got there in time to use the tripod, needing only a couple of minor relocations during filming. At 1:00 check out the older-looking, rusty Kansas City Southern boxcar with absolutely no graffiti. What are the odds? For those of you who like short but sweet train videos, this train is pretty much over at about 2:30. As is often the case, I couldn't resist shooting until the train disappeared around the curve.
