But if you don't do so excessively – it's fine. 4 - Eating too much on the OMAD diet: You don't need to try and eat as much as possible on this diet. You can even do the opposite – eating only one meal per day - to lose weight in a healthy way. Eating too much means that you may be consuming more calories than your body needs. Sure, you will still lose weight if you eat too much because excess calories are stored as fat. But it can be unhealthy, because it is also linked to many other health problems like diabetes and heart disease . The best way to make sure you're losing weight in a healthy way is by measuring your food on a digital kitchen scale . 5 - Not weighing and measuring before you start the OMAD diet: Before you start following this diet, make sure you know your goal weight. You can do this by weighing yourself on a digital scale and calculating in your mind how much kilograms you need to lose. This will help you follow the diet properly and achieve your ideal body weight more easily. The same goes for measuring the portions of your food, especially protein. If you want to lose weight in the best possible way, you must be careful when measuring it. I wish I would have known this before I started following OMAD. As a result, I would have lost more weight and my body composition would have been better! 6 - Not planning a sustainable lifestyle: Yes, it is important to keep your diet as simple as possible. But if you don't plan a sustainable lifestyle (e.g. regular workout sessions), then you can't lose weight in the right way. Keep in mind that you can't just follow this diet and expect to lose weight. You need to exercise regularly too. If you want to lose weight in a healthy way, try to do regular workouts for an hour per day . Do something like walking or running for an hour every day. Don't forget that exercising is also good for your health . It helps your brain stay healthy and improves heart function . 7 - Not looking after your health: Sure, you will lose weight on the OMAD diet. But if you don't look after your health , then there is a high risk that you may gain more weight back. Also, there is a big chance that you will develop serious health problems from following this diet. This means that you need to make sure you are drinking enough water every day . You should also eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.
