Second Sunday in Lent - March 16, 2025 - 10:00am
Welcome to a celebration of the Second Sunday in Lent. The season of Lent is a period of reflection bringing us to the events and celebrations of Holy Week and Easter. The name is derived from an Old English word meaning “spring,” the time of lengthening days. The forty days of Lent extend from Ash Wednesday through Holy Saturday, omitting Sundays. The last three days of Lent are the sacred Triduum of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. Liturgically, the church is marked by the use of purple liturgical colors in our decorations and paraments. Thank you for joining in virtual worship from Trinity Episcopal Church, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Our thanks are offered to those facilitating our worship today: The Rev. Gary Manning, Celebrant and Preacher; The Rev. Judy Thayer, Deacon; and Dr. Curt Sather, Director of Music. This broadcast is a live-stream of the 10:00 am service. Further details about the service may be found on the church website at www.TrinityWauwatosa.org. To find the service bulletin, please download it from the Weekly Bulletin page of the church website at https://trinitywauwatosa.org/worship If you are unable to come to church to receive communion, a Eucharistic Visitor can bring it to you at your residence.
