THE COMPANY OF JESUS | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (September 26, 2021) Subscribe to JesComTV http://bit.ly/3qN0biC #TheWordExposed #CardinalTagle #26thSundayinOrdinaryTime We are on the Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time; and in today’s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples: “There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me. For whoever is not against us is for us.” The disciples reported to Jesus that someone was driving out demons in his name; and because the person was not a member of their group, the disciples tried to stop him. Jesus is teaching his disciples and us that we cannot limit God’s power within our circle. The fact that Jesus’s name was invoked, which became a conduit of healing, was a testimony of the person’s faith in Jesus.
