Japan will end a coronavirus state of emergency in six prefectures, as the rate of infections slows. COVID-19 measures will be eased in Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Aichi, Gifu and Fukuoka from Feb 28, a week earlier than planned. But measures remain in place for Tokyo and its surrounding prefectures.
