HAPPENING NOW—CUOMO UPDATE: Gov. Cuomo offers the latest information on COVID-19 in New York. At his briefing yesterday, Cuomo released findings from surveys with hospitals about the patients they are helping, who reported that more than 4 of every 5 patients were retired or unemployed, only 17% patients were working, and 3 in every 5 patients were over 60 years old. Almost 96% of patients had an underlying health condition, and only 3% said they were taking public transportation. Cuomo said that he was expecting ‘that maybe we were going to find a higher percentage of essential employees who were getting sick because they were going to work, that these may be nurses, doctors, transit workers.
