In today’s gospel reading (Luke 1:26-38), Mary visits Elizabeth in Ain Karim, which was a hillside town five miles or eight kilometers northwest of Jerusalem. Despite walking for around two or three hours, Mary, upon seeing Elizabeth, excitedly greeted her and congratulated her on her pregnancy. Elizabeth excitedly tells Mary that her own baby leaped for joy in her womb when he heard Mary’s voice. This is the 258th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
