Accept God's Generosity! - The Word Exposed (September 20, 2020)0) 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time Subscribe to    / jescomtv   We are on the Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time; and the Gospel for today underscores God’s justice and generosity. The landowner went out at different times of the day and enlisted people to work for his vineyard. To the first group, he agreed to pay the usual daily wage, while to the others he promised a fair wage. At the end of the working hours, the foreman summoned the laborers beginning with the last to be hired to receive their salary. The first batch of laborers grumbled against the landowner. They felt cheated because those who worked only for an hour received the same daily wage as them who worked the whole day. Friends, sometimes we feel that our efforts deserve much from the Lord—but let us remember that his ways are not our ways. We cannot quantify his mercy and generosity.
