THE POWER OF QURAN | RECITATION OF SURAH AL-MULK | سورة الملك | MA'NA DLOMIR SANI

Surah Al-Mulk, which is one of the surahs in the Quran, is believed to have its own special qualities in guarding and protecting a person from the torment of the grave. By reading Surah Al-Mulk regularly, Muslims believe that they can obtain protection from the punishment that may await in the barzakh realm. Consider the following explanation by Sayyid Muhammad Alawi Al-Maliki; Meaning: "Reciting Surah Al-Mulk to be saved from the torment of the grave: It was narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: One of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pitched his tent over a grave, not realizing that it was a grave. Suddenly, there appeared a grave of a man reciting Surah Al-Mulk until he completed it. He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I pitched my tent over a grave, not realizing that it was a grave, and suddenly, there appeared a grave of a man reciting Surah Al-Mulk until he completed it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is the protector, it is the savior, it saves him from the torment of the grave. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi. After reading Surah Al-Mulk, a person is encouraged to pray to perfect his reward and obtain his fadilah or virtue. So how does the prayer sound after reading the letter Al-Mulk? Here is the prayer after reading the letter Al-Mulk complete with Arabic and translation. Meaning: “O Allah, keep me faithful to the teachings of Islam, both when sitting and lying down. Do not cheer up the hearts of our enemies and those who are evil towards us. O Allah, I truly ask You for protection from the evil of every creature. You are the One who controls them. I ask You for goodness within Your grasp.” This prayer can be referenced in the book "al-Minabus Saniyyah 'alâ al-Washiyyah al-Matbuliyah" by Sheikh Abdul Wahab Sya'rani. It is reported that one of the benefits of this prayer is that it protects a person from things that cause him trouble, whether from jinn, humans or animals.
