THURSDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2025 - CRIME WATCH LIVE Today's Highlights: Santa Cruz man held in El Dorado KFC robbery— suspect captured after police chase • Quick police response led to the arrest of Raheem Philbert of La Canoa Road, Lower Santa Cruz, following a robbery at KFC El Dorado on Monday morning. Philbert is believed to be the suspect in the robbery at the sports and games Tunapuna outlet on Monday, 25th August 2025. A woman, identified as Donna Waldron, was accidentally shot by a police officer at the San Juan Sub Station on Wednesday, 27th August 2025. • Waldron is reportedly an in-house cleaner removed with MTS and assigned to the Sub-Station/Task Force base since 2018. • There are allegedly no provisions for the cleaners at the station, so Waldron usually sits on a chair near the female dorm. • Last Wednesday, a WPC was loading her MP5 pistol and a round accidentally discharged, hitting Waldron in her left leg. • There are speculations of a cover-up as the doctor on the medical report wrote "medical condition"; however, on Wednesday, 3rd September, 2025, another senior doctor made the correction and placed Gun Shot Wound. Three men arrested for separate murders in Point Fortin, Princes Town, and Felicity • Police have arrested three men in connection with separate murders across Trinidad in recent weeks. • In Felicity, Shannon Jaggan was arrested by officers of the Region Three Homicide Bureau of Investigations for the beating death of his uncle, Ravi Pandohie. • The incident occurred at Pandohie’s Gilbert Street home on Sunday, August 10th, 2025. Police were only alerted after Pandohie’s daughter reported to the Chaguanas Police Station that he had died at the Mt. Hope Hospital on Thursday, August 14th. • Shannon admitted to beating his uncle, saying, "I didn't mean for him to dead... I just break ah leg." He faces a charge of manslaughter. In a second case, a Point Fortin man identified as Peter McIntosh was taken into custody for the stabbing death of Edwin Williams. • Williams, who lived in an abandoned concrete structure at the former Clifton Hill Beach Facility, was brutally stabbed on Friday, August 22nd, 2025. In Princes Town, detectives also arrested Fidel McClean for the stabbing death of his relative, Sherwayne Balkaran. Balkaran was killed along Tramline Road on Sunday, August 24th, 2025. • Police said consultations will be held with the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions (South) to determine what charges, if any, will be laid against the suspects. Woman dies in head-on collision along the M2 Ring Road, Princes Town • A 21-year-old woman identified as Naomi Ramnarine died in a head-on collision along the M2 Ring Road near Princes Town around 4:45 a.m. Thursday 4th September, 2025. • She was a front-seat passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend, who, along with his mother, was heading to the Piarco International Airport to pick up relatives. Ramnarine was the third young woman who was killed in a car crash in less than one week. Just on Wednesday, 3rd September, 2025, 19-year-old Lysanne Julien died from injuries she sustained in a crash at the intersection of Henry and Park Streets in Port-of-Spain.
