We are few days away from the big #Superbowl. I'm excited. Here is another #Gamedayrecipe for you. I added sumac (Middle eastern spice). It makes everything taste more delicious. Follow me on my Instagram:   / hinabarkat   Ingredients:(For the Filling) 2 Pieces of Chicken. 2 Bay leafs. 2 tsp Salt. 1 tsp Cumin seed powder. 1 tsp Garam masala. Ingredients: (Pastry) 1 Puff Pastry Sheet. Shredded Chicken. 1/2 Onion. 1 Green chili pepper. 1 tsp Sumac. 1 tsp Cumin seed powder. 1 tsp Crushed black pepper. 1 tsp Salt. 1 tsp Smoked Paprika. Pinch of Crushed Red pepper flakes. Cilantro. 1 tbsp Flour. 3 tbsp Milk. 1 Egg. Recipe: In a pot add water and chicken pieces. Add bay leaf, salt, cumin seed powder and garam masala. Bring it to a boil. Cover and cook until chicken in tender. It should fall off the bone. Shred the chicken. In a pan add oil and onion. Fry for 2-3 minutes and add green chili pepper. Add shredded chicken. Fry for 2-3 minuets. Add sumac and mix well. Add salt, cumin seed powder, garam masala and black pepper. Mix everything. Add smoked paprika and crushed red pepper. Fry for anther minute or so. Add flour and milk and cook for 1 minute. Keep it aside. Though the puff pastry according to box. I though mine for 40 minutes and it was ready to use. Flour the board. Cut the puff pastry into 3 pieces and than into 4. U should have 12 small rectangular pieces. Roll out each piece into square. Beat 1 egg. Add little bit water. Egg wash is ready. Take the chicken mixture and put it in the middle. Brush the egg wash around the edges. Fold it over. Using the fork press the edges. Line the baking sheet with the foil. Spray the sheet with cooking oil. Line the pastries. Brush them with egg wash. Pre heat the oven to 400 F. Bake foe 20-25 minutes.
