Dearest friends, I’d like to share something a little different to my usual offering here. Yule or The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, and the longest night. Yule originated in Norse tradition as a festival that celebrated the winter solstice and rebirth of the sun. This drum song was written with the intention of capturing the beauty and softness of this moment within the wheel of the year. Honouring the darkness and celebrating the flicking light ever present at Yule. In this deepest dark and longest night, may we gather around hearth's together, sharing song, food and illuminating the dark with our glowing hearts.
