Sold 422,000 copies in its 1st week (1/2 of Anthology1’s 1st week). Went to #1 in UK, Anthology 1 only reached #2. • The Anthology producer and project leader was George Martin. 16. 12-Bar Original (Take 2 edited) November 1965 EMI Studios 2:55 - instrumental 12-bar blues recorded in November 1965, but was not released until here, Prior to editing, the length of take 2 was 6:36. It is one of t few songs credited to Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey. 17. Tomorrow Never Knows ("Mark 1" / Take 1) 18. Got to Get You into My Life (Take 5) 19. And Your Bird Can Sing (Take 2) - A version of the track featuring Harrison on his Rickenbacker 360/12 12-string electric guitar was recorded but was scrapped; 20. Taxman (Take 11) - Some characterize the guitar solo as "like nothing else in the Beatles' corpus to date; for that matter, it hardly bears any resemblance to anything in the history of recorded music." 21. Eleanor Rigby (strings only) (Take 14,) Written primarily by McCartney, Ranked number 138 on Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Strawberry Fields Forever (demo sequence) - In 1996, three previously unreleased versions of the song appeared on Anthology 2: one of Lennon's home demos from November 1966; an altered version of the first studio take; and the complete take 7, in mono, edited with an extension of the coda's drums and percussion track from 9 December. 2.
