
Blueberry Cream Dessert - Traditional Newfoundland - Bonita's Kitchen

Our website: https://www.bonitaskitchen.com Our cookbooks: https://www.bonitaskitchen.com/cookbook Ingredients: BLUEBERRY SAUCE 4 Cups fresh or frozen blueberries 2 Tbsp cornstarch 4 Tbsp White Sugar 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice and zest WHIPPED CREAM 1 Box whipped cream 2 Tbsp powdered sugar 1 Tsp vanilla GRAHAM CRUST 2 Cups Crushed graham cracker 1/2 Cup brown sugar 1/2 Cup melted butter Method for Blueberry sauce: In a medium saucepan, cook berry mixture until thickened, 5-7 minutes, let cool to room temperature, until ready to use. Whipped Cream: In a medium bowl add whipped cream and blend on high speed until foamy, add powdered sugar and vanilla and continue mixing until all combined. • Place in fridge until ready to use. Graham Crust: In a medium bowl mix all ingredients together and put in a pre-greased square pan or line with parchment paper. • Bake in a preheated oven of 350º for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. • Remove from heat and let come to room temperature before layering the blueberry cream dessert. • After cooled add blueberry sauce and whipped cream, toss some fresh or frozen blueberries over top of dessert and refrigerate.
