Main opposition Liberty Korea Party elects Na Kyung-won as new floor leader

자유한국당 새 원내대표에 나경원 의원 선출 The main opposition Liberty Korea Party elected its new floor leader on Tuesday. Four term lawmaker Na Kyung-won took the position in a sweeping victory over rival Kim Hak-yong. Speaking to reporters after the ballots had been counted, Na vowed to revive the nation's economy and help her party members succeed in the next general election. Na will be the first female floor leader to represent the Liberty Korea Party. The election comes at a crucial time when the leaders of some minor opposition parties have been fasting for the past six days, demanding an agreement on electoral reform to be reached before the end of December. The ruling and main opposition parties have shown a lukewarm stance on the issue, claiming that more time and discussion is needed.
