MONDAY 17TH FEBRUARY 2025 - CRIME WATCH LIVE Today's Highlights: A man was shot and killed along Belle Eau Road, Belmont on Monday 17th February, 2025. • The deceased was identified as 33-year-old Marvin Phillips of Vincent Brown Street, Gonzales. • Phillips was ambushed and shot near Belmont Boys RC School. A pensioner was killed after a gunman opened fire on a group of people who were at a family gathering on Rochard Road in Penal on Sunday 16th February, 2025. • The deceased was identified as 65-year-old Quintyne Marcano of Cameron Hill, Paramin. A man was shot dead while returning to his Tabaquite home during the early hours on Sunday 16th February, 2025. • The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Matthew Chancellor of Alleyne Street, Tabaquite, who as an employee of Subway in Montrose. • Chancellor, was reportedly walking along Cito Lane returning to his home after liming with friends at a bar, hours earlier, when he was shot and killed by a man armed with a shotgun. A man died after he was stabbed near Frankie's Bar in Woodbrook early on Saturday 15th February 2025. • The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old David Stanley Gregoir. There are reports of a rat infestation and mold at the St Joseph Secondary School. • Two classrooms had to be cordoned off due to the severe case of mold. • Cleaning was reportedly done at the school over the weekend, however, staff members are unsatisfied as the work was not done properly. The Police Administrative Building in Port of Spain was evacuated after a fire alarm was activated at around 1:40pm on Monday 17th February, 2025. • The weekly Police Media Briefing was interrupted when Acting Police Commissioner Junior Benjamin and Gold Commander ACP Richard Smith were delivering remarks to the media. A man was found bleeding from a gunshot wound to the back of his head in Tobago on Thursday 13th February, 2025. • The victim was identified as 45-year-old Andre Trim of Glen Road, Scarborough, Tobago. Sweet-tooth bandit steals ice cream from a Marabella pharmacy: • A man was captured on CCTV footage stealing ice cream from a freezer at a pharmacy he broke into in Marabella early on Monday 17th February 2025. Approximately $500,000. worth of meat products were discovered stolen from Great Foods Limited along Frederick Settlement, Caroni, between the period of August 2024 to December, 2024.
