#TheAppearanceToMaryOfMagdala #FalseAssumptions #MaryMagdalene #HolySpirit TOPIC: ARE YOU LEANING TOWARDS YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING THAT PRODS YOU TO MAKE WRONG ASSUMPTIONS? First Reading: Songs of Solomon 3:1-4B OR 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 63:2, 3-4, 5-6, 8-9 Gospel: John 20:1-2, 11-18 In today’s gospel reading, Mary makes the wrong assumption that the person who appeared to her was the gardener. For who would not think so when the new tomb where Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus buried Jesus was located in a garden, near where Jesus was crucified. Even with Mary Magdalene's long association with Jesus ⏤ from the healing of the seven demons, to the service in the ministry of Jesus, to His crucifixion, she still made wrong assumptions. We, too, are guilty of making false assumptions. This is the 471st installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
