Fast, easy and simply delicious! INGREDIENTS: (Makes 1 serving) 1/2 onion 1/4 lb sliced beef 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp sake 2 tbsp mirin 2 tbsp water 2 tbsp sugar DIRECTIONS: Slice onion thinly. Cut your beef slices in half. Set these to the side. Add soy sauce, sake, water, mirin and sugar in a frying pan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and add your beef and onions. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour beef mixture over hot rice in a bowl. If you like, you can pour the remaining sauce over the meat. Enjoy with some Benishoga (Japanese pickled ginger).
