Of A Ruled Spirit 2 | Apostle Grace Lubega Phaneroo Devotional | Lyrical Cover

Apostle Grace Lubega Proverbs 16:32 (KJV); He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. — A ruled spirit is a mark of spiritual maturity. Unfortunately, I have been in ministry long enough to see many ministers conduct themselves contrary to this expectation. There is a tendency for men and women of God to drag their sermons for endless hours and accuse the Holy Spirit of having led them to do so. Think about this for a moment. A service is always communicated by the Church to run from 10am to 12pm. Everyone who comes to attend has this same expectation. But the minister of God, ‘so overcome by the Spirit’ consistently teaches on and on until 4pm. A dear church member left her husband at home who is waiting for her to return and prepare him lunch. She shows up at 6pm when he has given up on her. When she eventually returns, her church attendance becomes a big issue in their marriage. When this same woman complains to her pastor about how her husband reacts to the consistent delayed services, he says that her husband has a demon. How is this so, man of God? What you do not realise is that you are contributing to the chaos in this marriage because your spirit is not ruled. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). The Holy Ghost should never be used as the scapegoat for ministers who cannot rule their spirits. Praise Him! FURTHER STUDY: Galatians 5:22; Titus 1:8 GOLDEN NUGGET: Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. The Holy Ghost should never be used as the scapegoat for ministers who cannot rule their spirits. PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. Your Spirit has worked in me and yielded the fruit of self-control. I am not a slave to the dictates of my mind and desires but I am submitted to Your leading. By this wisdom, I never bring offence to the gospel because my spirit is ruled, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
