First Reading: Acts 3:1-10 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9 Alleluia: Psalms 118:24 Gospel: Luke 24:13-35 In today’s gospel reading, Jesus showed himself to two of His disciples, distraught and discouraged, while on their way to Emmaus. His death dashed all their hopes. They did not recognize Him. Jesus asks them what they were so upset about. Of course, as God, He already knew. But He played along. Why? Because He wanted them to discover for themselves that Jesus had risen and was with them. This is the 365th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
