TOPIC: WHERE DO WE STORE OUR WEALTH? First Reading: Romans 4: 20-25 Responsorial Psalm: Luke 1: 69-70, 71-72, 73-75 Alleluia: Matthew 5: 3 Gospel: Luke 12: 13-21 Today's parable emphasizes how useless it is to place our security on earthly possessions. Jesus warns us against the dangers of materialism and greed, encouraging us to re-evaluate our priorities and to not be consumed by the pursuit of wealth. The Gospel likewise focuses on the uncertainty of life, and how we should concern ourselves with our spiritual well-being too. Jesus invites us to be generous and to share our blessings with others, for generosity and compassion lead to spiritual richness. This is the 1277th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Eric Villanueva, Mission Head for CFC Europe and the Americas, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
