First Reading: Exodus 12: 1-8, 11-14 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 116: 12-13, 15-16bc, 17-18 Second Reading: First Corinthians 11: 23-26 Verse Before the Gospel: John 13: 34 Gospel: John 13: 1-15 Today we begin the Paschal Triduum. Holy Thursday is the sacred day where two Sacraments were instituted, the Eucharist and Holy Orders. The Chrism Mass in the morning celebrates the precious gift of the ordained priesthood while the evening Mass focuses more on the Eucharist. Holy Orders is important and necessary for us to be blessed with receiving the Eucharist. As we celebrate this Paschal Triduum, may we prepare our hearts to receive the Eucharist worthily that our Lord Jesus will always be with us, “And behold I am with you always, until the end of age.” (Matthew 28:20) This is the 1089th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Rouquel Ponte, a member of the Board of Elders, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
