#TheWorkersInTheVineyard #Envy #ParadigmShift #Holiness TOPIC: WHAT SHOULD YOUR ATTITUDE BE TOWARD THOSE WHO HAVE MORE THAN WHAT YOU HAVE? First Reading: Judges 9:6-15 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 21:2-3, 4-5, 6-7 Alleluia: Hebrews 4:12 Gospel: Matthew 20:1-16 In today’s gospel reading, a vineyard owner hires workers to harvest his grapes. He hires workers at the start of the day. At several intervals during the day, he adds more workers. At the end of the day, he pays everyone the same standard day’s wage. By our human standards, we can cry out for justice for the workers who worked all day. It seems unfair that those who worked only for one hour get paid the same wage as the all-day workers. The landowner had a different standard. We reflect today on the kind of heart we have when someone receives blessings. This is the 498th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
