TOPIC: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT ABUNDANTLY? First Reading: Isaiah 25: 6-10a Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 23: 1-3a, 3b-4, 5, 6 Gospel: Matthew 15: 29-37 In today's Gospel reading, we witness the mercy, compassion and the superabundant providence of God through the presence of Christ. The disciples collected seven loaves of bread and a few fish from a crowd steeped in poverty, but what was left in the end was exponential; seven baskets of leftovers, a basket for each loaf that was given. Jesus was given what little they had, and He gives back in a much greater way. It happened because of Jesus' presence, mercy and compassion. This is the 1322nd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Raymond Bucu, Head of Gateway Evangelization, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
