Gospel October 29th.- Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”

Here we share the daily Gospel with a reflection that allows us to share our faith and the Word of God. Gospel of the Day Luke 13:22-30 At that time, Jesus was teaching in the towns and villages as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” Jesus answered, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ Then you will say repeatedly, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ But he will reply, ‘I tell you, I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’ Then you will weep and gnash your teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. People will come from east and west, from north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. For the last will be first, And those who are first will be last.” #wordofgod #glorytoyoulordjesus #catholicfaith Reflection In this passage, Jesus invites us to reflect on the true path to salvation. He speaks of a “narrow gate,” which symbolizes effort, conversion, and faithfulness to God. It is not enough to know Jesus or to have heard his word; what is essential is to live according to his teachings, to act justly, to love our neighbor, and to turn away from evil. The narrow gate also represents the sacrifices we must make: leaving behind selfishness, comfort, pride, or indifference. It is a call not to settle for a superficial or superficial faith, but for an authentic faith that is manifested in our daily actions. Jesus reminds us that the Kingdom of God is not reserved for a privileged few, but for those who truly seek it with sincerity. Salvation does not depend on titles, positions, or appearances, but on the love and consistency with which we live the Gospel. Prayer of the Day Lord Jesus, help me to strive each day to enter through the narrow gate. Give me the strength to overcome my weaknesses and the courage to follow you faithfully. May my actions reflect my faith and love for you, and may I never stray from your path. Teach me to live with humility, service, and compassion, remembering that the last will be first in your Kingdom. Amen.
