Milk - Pharmacist Ben Fuchs - Moment of Truth

Cow's milk is packed with protein, peptides, calcium and smaller amounts of magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium, iodine, as well as trace levels of copper and manganese. It's a natural source of vitamins A, E and the B complex, as well as a little vitamin C and D. There are over 400 different fatty acids found in milk including essential omega-6s and hard to find omega-3s, as well as an interesting lipid called CLA, which has been shown to be helpful for weight loss and may be associated with a reduced risk of diabetes. Still, all that nutrition is not enough to make milk an overall healthy food. That's because, in addition to nutrients, cow's milk contains a lot of problematic components too. Most important of these are the somatic cells sometimes called pus, the result of leakages from udder infections. While there are regulatory limits in most developed countries, milk containing 1.6 billion pus cells per gallon can be legally sold for human consumption. That's not all. Milk is also a source of growth hormones, like IGF-1 and BST, that have been associated with cancers, as well as peptides and signaling molecules designed to turn a calf into a big fat farm animal. Factor in lactose intolerance, allergens and the antibiotics it contains and all of this means that, while cow's milk is undeniably loaded with valuable nutrients, in general it does a body more harm than good. Intake is probably best minimized or avoided entirely. Find more Alternative Empowering articles, videos and sign up for our newsletter at: http://criticalhealthnews.com/?uid=10...
