#ExhortationToBeVigilant #Prayer TOPIC: DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF PRAYER CAN DO TO YOU? First Reading: Daniel 7:15-27 Responsorial Psalm: Daniel 3:82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87 Alleluia: Luke 21:36 Gospel: Luke 21:34-36 In today’s gospel reading, Jesus calls us to be vigilant and to stay awake. By staying awake, He means for us to be always in a state of prayer. St. Paul echoed this in his earliest letter after Jesus’ death 20 years earlier, and this was to the Thessalonians when he said, “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This is the 599th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
