28 NOV 2021 - ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS
#TheComingOfTheSonOfMan #StartOfAdvent TOPIC: WHAT DOES JESUS ASK OF YOU THIS ADVENT SEASON? First Reading: Jeremiah 33:14-16 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 25:4-5, 8-9, 10, 14 Second Reading: 1 Thessalonians 3:12-4:2 Alleluia: Psalms 85:8 Gospel: Luke 21:25-28, 34-36 Today is the first day of advent, a time of preparation, a time of reflection, a time of renewing our trust in God’s mercy and love. A time to love His people more. The first reading shows us a vision of Jesus’ coming through Jeremiah’s prophecy. The second reading reminds us of Jesus’ daily coming in our lives through the people around us. And the gospel reading helps us to hope in His second and final coming. We look at our self, our attitudes, and at how we can love God through others. This is the 600th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
