#DanielInTheLionsDen #Envy TOPIC: CAN YOU EXTINGUISH THE ENVY IN YOU? First Reading: Daniel 6:12-28 Responsorial Psalm: Daniel 3:68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74 Alleluia: Luke 21:28 Gospel: Luke 21:20-28 In today’s first reading, we dwell on the story of Daniel and envy. We differentiate envy from jealousy in that envy wants something that belongs to another, while jealousy is the fear that something that we possess will be taken away by another. Are we happy when others are blessed? Are we sad when someone else is happy? Envy can destroy us if we let it fester in us. This is the 597th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
