TOPIC: ARE YOU DETERMINED ENOUGH TO REJECT BEING REJECTED? First Reading: Jeremiah 20: 10-13 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 18: 2-3a, 3bc-4, 5-6, 7 Verse Before the Gospel: John 6: 63c, 68c Gospel: John 10: 31-42 Throughout history, several great men, before they were called great men, experienced rejection because of personal weaknesses. Our Lord Jesus was no stranger to this kind of rejection. But He wasn't rejected because of flaws. The Church elders then rejected Him when He declared who He is⏤the Son of God. And as such, He rejected their rejection through a persuasive discourse on the very laws that the elders themselves upheld. Do we sharpen our knowledge of the Word enough to be able to do what Jesus did, faced with similar circumstances? This is the 1083rd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Jess Ferrer, Head of the CFC Migrants Program, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
