#MaryVisitsElizabeth #FeastOfTheVisitationOfTheBlessedVirginMary #Gratefulness #Joy #GraceOfGod TOPIC: DO YOU FIND YOURSELF GRATEFUL AND JOYFUL EVEN IN YOUR TIMES OF DIFFICULTY? First Reading: Zephaniah 3:14-18A or Romans 12:9-16 Responsorial Psalm: Isaiah 12:2-3, 4BCD, 5-6 Alleluia: Luke 1:45 Gospel: Luke 1:39-56 In today’s gospel reading, Mary visits Elizabeth on the latter’s 6th month of pregnancy. When Mary knocked at the door, she was greeted by Elizabeth, but it was the child in Elizabeth’s womb that leapt for joy. Not because of Mary but because of the child in Mary’s womb. God was with Mary. God was in Mary. We reflect on the beautiful Magnificat — the hymn of Mary — to remind us of Mary’s example of obedience, trust, and her heart full of praise and gratefulness. This is the 419th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
